The Meatrix and “Factory Farming”

Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development are two concepts relatively new in business administration.
Corporate Social Responsibility suggests that commercial corporations have a duty of care to all of their stakeholders in all aspects of their business operations.
Sustainable Development argues that enterprises should be obliged to make decisions based not only on financial/economic factors but also on the social, environmental and other consequences of their activities.
Among the campaigns that intend to create awareness of these concepts, we found two great examples: the movies The Meatrix and The Meatrix II.

These short movies talk about the problems caused by Factory Farming, such as animal cruelty, the generation of antibiotic resistant germs, the use of artificial hormones, massive pollution, and the destruction of small communities. They are worth watching. And they suggest getting involved.
