Thomas Friedman And The Energy Crisis

Friedman

Pop!Tech defines itself as a network of remarkable people, extraordinary conferences, powerful ideas & innovative projects that are changing the world.
At their website you can watch and listen to many conferences.
In this post we want to talk about the conference of Thomas Friedman, the author of “The World is Flat”.
In this conference, Friedman talks about the present energy crisis and the reasons why it is not the energy crisis of “our parents”. He states for example that the industry of the future will be the green industry, or there will be no planet. He also describes the interesting relationship between the pace of freedom and the price of oil. He then talks about how petropolitics is poisoning geopolitics (with an example about China and Sudan). Finally he says that green is the new name of blue, red and white (referring to the American flag). Very interesting!
